SMODE STUDIO review

A few months ago while surfing through my veejay webpages my eye came across this new piece of software. I neglect my uprising heartbeat at first but when I found myself again I new why this happened. This was a new way of creating veejay content!! A post production software tool that was able to compose 3D worlds without a steep learning curve.
I downloaded the demo and dived into the world called SMODE.

Flax - Flash Text Effect Tool

Once installed Flax comes up with a rather minimal interface of floating windows looking somewhat odd on a windows system, but ideal for running it alongside other applications like your favorite swf-reading vjsoft.
The Effects Window lists about more than 40 different basic settings, which can be tweaked by one to eight parameters to look slighty different. Effect settings can be saved and imported back into the Application. nice.

Text formatting is pretty basic, you can add different shading or colored outline styles tho.

DAZ 3D Bryce

Bryce is a software package designed for creating breathtaking landscapes. It is a 3D package designed for the beginning 3D graphical designer and therfore has an amazingly simple user interface, but although more limiting that the more professional products can easily create very detailed movies.

Artmatic Pro Review

ArtMatic generates graphics and sound using a tree of tiles that represent mathematical functions.
Each function of the tree can be chosen randomly or user-selected. All tiles have their own settings which can change across keyframes to create animations.

ArtMatic systems are complex equations whose parameters can all change over time. The new version provides 16 keyframes and is both easier and more powerful for making movies than earlier versions. Keyframe parameters are interpolated using cubic splines and allows systems to evolve in a smooth and natural way.

UiSoftware Vtrack Review

multi-track video and special effects tool with integrated ArtMatic rendering. Meant to be used for broadcast quality video and DVD authoring, VTrack bridges all U&I software applications: sequencing both audio and visual elements.
With VTrack you can create special effects, fades, transitions and title sequences. When used with ArtMatic, v/Track allows users to design effects as well as motion graphics. In That sense VTrack extends the power and flexibility of ArtMatic and is its indispensable sequencing complement.
