Beside your favourite swiss army knife that goes by the name of Virtualdub, you might find a valuable companion in this little piece of software simply called AVIedit 4 for the tasks that Virtualdub doesn't handle.
AVIedit combines bitmap editing with the features of a video-editor, therefore you can easily import a series of stills (bmp, gif, jpg, tga) or animations (gif, fli, flc) and export them as avi-files or the other way. Furthermore you will find a rudimentary thumbnail image browser and a batch processor for bitmap treatments.
Leading video editing software from Adobe. This package is basically your all in one video editing station, with FX, timeline based editing, transitions, keying, DV and analogue video/audio capture and audio mixing all in the one software.
For a start you select project settings that include res, compression, FPS, audio quality, etc for your project (you can also selecta range of presets). Once you have created a project you can import clips/stills/audio into bins with thumbnails for easy access and oraganization.
