The Orbit 5.6" Monitor/TV was just what we needed - a reasonable sized preview monitor what will preview a V4 and still be small enough to pack beside the DV cam in the camera bag. We found this unit at lik-sang.com, Hong Kongs main online games store. Most LCDs this size are designed for cars not VJ's, however being built for this environment in their favour.
The Orbit comes with a Credit card sized remote, USB->RCA Cable (not as good as that sounds), 3.5->RCA, 110-240V Transformer, Car Adaptor and a laughably good Engrish manual. Highlights of the manual include "Prevent the child from cramming anything into the unit, which causes damage."
Picture quality is pretty good and has a resolution of 320x234 - colours look nice
although whites wash do out a bit, and viewing angles are limited. The V4s menu options are easily ledgible over black or videos on the Orbit.
We have found the unit gets warm after some hours of use - not too hot but noticable enough to mention. Also strangly the USB->input doesn't seem to do much but as we are only ever running one input into the unit so don't really need it.
The colour scheme is identical to the V4s light grey / dark grey scheme and they go together quite well. The Buttons are easy to get to and press. Strangly the input/power plugs connect are on the right side instead of the base where they would be out of the way.
The Orbit also has a built in tuner with worldwide bands and autotune. Another bonus is the tripod mount on the base.
We've taken the unit travelling and its taking the beatings well. Recommended - or as the manual says "with no doubt, it will show you the endless entertainment world for its excellent quality and exactitude technique".
